Job summary

Qualifications

• SBEC certification processes to obtain Educational Aide Certification.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in meeting the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities.
• Help teacher prepare instructional materials.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with personal care as appropriate.
• Supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Implement and document behavioral intervention strategies as needed.
