Job summary

SST Alamo in San Antonio, TX seeks an Educational Sped Aide to support teachers and students in a full-time role during normal school hours. You will work with small groups or individuals to meet academic goals, assist with ARD/IEP processes, and help maintain a positive learning environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and 48 college hours preferred; experience with children is a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 48 college hours preferred.
Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers with student academic goals, by working with small groups of children or an individual child.
Assist teachers in the enforcement of classroom management and behavioral plans, creating an environment that is appropriate for learning.
Assist with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
Assist teachers in the preparation of paperwork for the ARD/IEP process.
Collects and enters data for completion of special education reports and documents.
Assist teachers with the planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individual students and groups.
Performs other duties as assigned.
