Job summary

Coatesville Area School District is seeking a Special Education Aide to support students with diverse learning needs in a district-wide, Thorndale-based setting. The role is part-time, 5.75 hours per day on student days, with an annual schedule of 189 days, and a starting date of immediately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to earn Highly Qualified status within 60 days if under 48 college credits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and daily routines under the direction of the teacher.
• This can be one-on-one with a student or with all students in a classroom setting.
• Provide positive behavioral support and help maintain a productive learning environment.
• Assist students in reading, learning activities, and skill development.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff.
• Keep materials and routines organized to help the classroom run smoothly.
• Use basic computer skills to support instructional needs.
