Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teachers, and supervising designee in Oakland, CA.

The role may include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner or other health care professional. This contract–part time position offers weekly pay and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• CPR certification may be required.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract/state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide provides instructional and behavioral support under supervision of the special education department, teachers or supervising designee.
• Assists with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

Education
