Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of college or formal assessment per NCLB.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities and follow instructions.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teacher with instructional materials and setup.
• Support students with physical and self-care needs.
• Monitor students during activities and manage behavior as directed.
• Help with supervision during meals, buses, and outdoor activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff meetings and training.
