Job summary

Harpool Middle School in Denton ISD is seeking a Special Education Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support students with disabilities under the supervision of teachers. The role focuses on direct care, mobility, daily living skills, and helping students meet their IEP goals.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; two years of experience with children is preferred. This is a full-time, nonexempt position with duties including data collection, CPI training, and collaboration

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support to assigned students.
• Share time across students to ensure equal support.
• Perform duties as assigned by special education personnel.
• Enter Medicaid billings and participate in required trainings.
• Support teachers and follow CPI trainings when requested.
