Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Aide to work with teachers and support staff in a collaborative middle school environment in Buckeye, AZ, supporting students with autism during the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities include assisting with academics, social and behavioral activities, and maintaining a safe, structured environment while following individualized plans. Flexible to support different classrooms as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with one of: ParaPro, 60 college credits, or an associate degree.
• Arizona IVPFingerprint Clearance Card.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Experience with students with special needs, autism, behavioral needs, or special education preferred.

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Aide to work alongside teachers and support staff in a collaborative middle school environment in Buckeye, AZ, helping students with autism succeed in the classroom and beyond throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Overview

• Provide daily classroom and behavioral support to middle school students in a specialized autism/STRIDE program.
• Assist students with academic, social, behavioral, and functional activities while reinforcing individualized learning and support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Remain flexible to support different classrooms or assignments based on student and program needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus one of the following:
  • Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
  • 60 college credit hours
  • Associate degree
• Valid Arizona IVPFingerprint Clearance Card
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Experience working with students with special needs, particularly autism, behavioral needs, or special education, preferred
