Job summary

Help Group is seeking a dedicated leader for a Senior Education role in Los Angeles, CA. The position focuses on supervising Social Development teachers and coordinating with district personnel to support student success.

The role requires a Mild to Moderate or Support Needs Special Education Credential, at least 5 years of SPED teaching experience (Autism/ED), and a background in Positive Behavior Support. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Credential required: Mild to Moderate or Support Needs Special Education Credential.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching Special Education – Autism and ED.
• Background in Positive Behavior Support.
• One year in a supervisory position (Mentor Teacher or Assistant Principal).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Social Development teachers and teaching assistants through classroom observations, weekly supervision meetings, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with principals, behavioral staff, district personnel, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success and ensure program effectiveness.
• Coordinate and attend IEP meetings, serve as a liaison between families and school districts, and support student admissions and intake processes.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, staffing coverage requirements, documentation standards, and operational reporting systems.
• Train, orient, and evaluate instructional staff while fostering professional growth and adherence to best practices.
• Lead program initiatives, including parent support groups and implementation of evidence-based strategies for students with social development needs.
