Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Bronx, NY is seeking a dedicated Special Education ABA Instructor to support children aged birth–21 in homes, clinics, and community settings. You will follow individualized therapy plans, educate families, and document progress with a flexible schedule and supportive clinical supervision.

Requirements include NYS certification options listed in the ad, a passion for working with children and families, and the ability to travel to assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children and families.
• NYSDOS/NYS certifications or licenses as listed in the ad.
• Self-motivated and a team player with patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in natural settings.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies for carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings: homes, daycare, preschools, clinics, community settings.
• Follow therapy plans, plan ongoing treatment, and document progress.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain records with confidentiality.
• Submit required records within established timelines.

Job Responsibilities for a Special Education ABA Instructor:

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements for a Special Education ABA Instructor:

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
  o Students with Disabilities (Birth - 2) Initial or Professional Certification
  o Permanent Special Education Certification
  o TSHH Permanent Certification
  o TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
  o NYS School Psychologist Provisional or Permanent Certification
  o NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
  o NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: $56.00-63.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theSpecial Education ABA InstructorJob interview process.
