Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Special Education Tech III - DD to provide instruction and behavioral support for students with developmental disorders. This role, under the supervision of a Special Education Teacher, requires a minimum of 90 credits of approved study and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $7,000. Candidates should have experience working with children with developmental challenges. Qualifications

• Experience in a school, hospital, or residential setting preferred.
• Certification as School-Based Behavioral Health Professional preferred.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide education and care to students' ages 5+.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and behavioral support to students.
• Collaborate with Special Education Teacher and other professionals.
• Help children learn new ways of coping with challenges.

Skills

Experience with children or youth with developmental disorders

Certification as an Education Technician III
