Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a HILIA Special Education Teacher to work with students who have visual impairments, are deaf/hard of hearing, or have learning and behavioral needs. The teacher will provide direct services, create lesson plans, and manage a caseload with high-quality instruction.

Collaborating with a team of special educators and general education colleagues to design programs for students with IEPs, the role supports evolving caseloads as the HILIA

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and licensure in education.
Preferred: Braille and assistive technology skills.
Preferred: sign language skills.

Responsibilities

Create lesson plans and deliver direct services to students.
Manage a caseload of students.
Implement high-quality instruction.
Collaborate with special and general education colleagues to plan for IEPs.
Caseload and responsibilities may change during the year.
