Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking a Teacher – Special Ed at Waco High to serve as a Special Education Case Manager, developing and overseeing IEPs and monitoring student progress within the general curriculum.

You will collect data, attend ARD meetings, train general education staff, and maintain compliant records while ensuring individualized instruction and parent communication throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate with SPED endorsements.
• Experience with IEPs, ARD meetings, and data-driven instruction is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with district policies and IEP goals.
• Develop and oversee implementation of student IEPs and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with general education staff to deliver needed services.
• Train staff on implementing IEPs prior to and after ARD meetings.
• Communicate progress to parents/guardians as outlined in IEPs.
• Prepare and maintain required reports and documentation.
