Job summary

Delta-T Group Phoenix, Inc. is seeking Teacher's Assistants in the Phoenix area to support students with special needs. This independent contractor role offers competitive pay based on experience and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting with bus boarding, escorting students to meals, transporting wheelchair-bound students, and assisting with lifting as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, fingerprint clearance, and at least 6 months of classroom

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting students with special needs.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CPR/First Aid.
• AZ Fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum of 6 months classroom experience or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain patience and understanding at all times.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with students, peers, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students as they board and exit school bus.
• Escort students to and from the cafeteria for meals and supervise during meals.
• Transport wheelchair-bound students to the nurse for procedures.
• Assist in lifting students with a colleague using adaptive chairs, mats, and wedges.
