Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Regular daily attendance and flexibility in schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist or carry out educational activities designed by the teacher and support staff.
• Assist students with toileting needs and diaper changes.
• Support self-care programs including feeding, brushing teeth, and grooming.
• Assist in unloading/loading students on bus/van.
• Maintain clean, cheerful, and attractive classroom and restrooms.
• Collect and record data; create teaching materials; implement structured behavior programs.
