Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional - Special Ed-EBD at MORROW ELEMENTARY in Morrow, GA. You will provide academic support to exceptional education students and assist the classroom teacher with instructional opportunities.

The role includes small group or one-on-one activities, materials preparation, and behavior management support; duties include lifting and personal hygiene assistance as needed. This is a grade 16, 190-day position with salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Hold an associate’s degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
• Two years of college coursework (sixty semester hours or ninety quarter hours) above remedial level with grade of C or better.
• Passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to selected students in resource, self-contained, and regular classroom settings.
• Conducts small group or individual activities based on lesson plans.
• Assists with preparation of instructional materials and grading; supports behavior management as needed.

Education

Associate degree or higher in any subject (GaPSC-accepted)

Two years of college coursework (> remedial level) with grade C or better (GaPSC-accepted)

Passed GACE Paraprofessional Assessment; HS diploma or GED
