Responsibilities

• Assists, supports, and works closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational support for Special Education classrooms.
• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced by licensed staff.
• Assists the teacher in special strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills based on individual students’ needs.
• Monitors work, supervises testing and makeup work as assigned.
• Assists in classroom and instructional duties as assigned by the teacher.
• Maintains confidentiality of information about students and promotes a safe environment.
