Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education and PA Certification preferred.
• Experience as classroom assistant or special education assistant.
• Ability to solve practical problems and take initiative.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations.
• Required clearances include Act 34, Act 151, FBI fingerprint clearance dated within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher with small group or individual instruction.
• Provides instruction in a clear, calm and respectful manner.
• Assists teacher with essential classroom tasks and supervision.
• Helds responsibility to supervise students across the campus.
• Collects data on an ongoing basis as directed by the teacher.
• Enforces school codes and promotes good citizenship.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
• May assist in training other instructional assistants.
