Job summary

North Clackamas Schools seeks an Elementary Teacher for the Structured Learning Center (SLC). The role is a half-time, temporary position starting August 31, 2026 and ending June 22, 2027, focusing on functional academics with a 4:1 student-to-adult ratio.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement.
• Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities or demonstrated commitment to engaging diverse populations.
• Knowledge of IDEA requirements and procedures; ability to assess student needs and translate into instructional plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff; collaborate in a professional learning community.

Responsibilities

• Teach in Elementary and/or Secondary Structured Learning Center (SLC) settings with a ~4:1 student-to-adult ratio; follow district curriculum, instruction and assessment practices.
• Ensure student safety and appropriate collaboration; support student readiness to learn through structured routines and modified curricula.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment and participate in professional growth opportunities.
