Job summary

ReNEW Schools seeks an instructional aide to support teachers in implementing instructional programs. The role guides and encourages students to realize academic potential within a structured learning environment.

Under supervision, you will assist with behavior management, plan and direct learning activities, and work with small groups to meet diverse educational needs while supporting classroom operations and family communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos and correspondence.
• Willingness to write simple correspondence and notes as needed.
• Ability to work with students, parents, and staff to meet educational needs.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing behavior and procedures conducive for learning under supervision.
• Assist in planning and directing learning activities with the teacher.
• Support small groups of learners to meet educational needs.
• Help meet physical needs of students and support daily classroom operations.
• Assist with running materials, attendance, and grade records under supervision.
• Participate in in-service training to upgrade knowledge and skills.
• Contribute content knowledge to aid student learning with teachers.
• Work effectively with teachers, parents, and students to address needs.
• Fulfill duties assigned by supervisor as needed.
• Assist in duties specific to aide roles across programs as assigned.
