Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Special Collections Instruction & Program Coordinator to connect students, faculty, researchers, and community members with rare books, archives, manuscripts, and other distinctive collections.

The Coordinator will work on the Research Services team and collaborate with curators, archivists, librarians, faculty, and partners to coordinate instructional programs and visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience coordinating projects, programs, or operations in a library, archives, or higher education setting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all Special Collections instruction and educational visits from inquiry to completion.
• Serve as primary contact for faculty and groups requesting instructional sessions and tours.
• Manage scheduling, spaces, collections availability, and related logistics for learning experiences.
• Develop and maintain instructional guides and documentation to support teaching with Special Collections.
• Support assessment by collecting and reporting instructional data and outcomes.
