Department Overview

The Minneapolis special care nursery is a 33-bed unit caring for babies 32 weeks and older, as well as full-term babies who are ill, have anomalies, or are transitioning from NICU. The team includes nurses, social workers, therapists, neonatologists, and nurse practitioners, working together to provide supportive, educational, and high-quality care to families.

Position Summary

Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff, maintains equipment and supplies per standards.

Requirements include completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or a clinical practicum in nursing or healthcare. Current BLS certification is required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
  • One year of Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred.
