Job summary

Elara Caring in Oklahoma City invites you to join our dedicated Special Care Aide (SCA) team. This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and frequent travel to support clients in OKC and surrounding areas, delivering essential personal care at home with a patient-centered approach.

You will assist with admissions, daily living activities, and documentation while growing your skills and contributing to a caring community that emphasizes quality care and client well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required by state regulations.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide/CNA certification where required.
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices and electronic documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation with current registration and auto insurance.
• Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients.

As a Special Care Aide, You'll Contribute to Our Success By:

• Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits

What Is Required?

• Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
• Reliable personal transportation, current registration, and auto insurance
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties
