Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Tulsa West on a PRN, flexible schedule basis. You will be the first face new clients meet, coordinating with the branch team to ensure a smooth care experience and clear communication.

This role offers exposure to diverse situations, travel across service areas, and growth opportunities within Personal Care Services while helping people live safely at home. Join us to contribute meaningfully to patients’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• HHA, Personal Care Aide, CNA, MA or similar certification where required.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties.
• Comfort with using mobile devices and electronic documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Travel throughout the service area to support clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs.

As a Special Care Aide, You'll Contribute to Our Success By:

• Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits
• Providing personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene

• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition
• Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records

What Is Required?

• High School Diploma or GED, where required by state regulations
• Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
• Reliable personal transportation, current registration, and auto insurance
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties
