Job summary

The FBI is seeking a Special Agent in the United States to protect the nation from cyberattacks, terrorism, fraud, and evolving threats. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with a bachelor’s degree or higher, eligible for Top-Secret SCI clearance, and capable of meeting physical, medical, and eligibility

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
• Be eligible for Top-Secret SCI Clearance.
• Be at least 23 years old and not have reached your 37th birthday on appointment.
• Meet FBI employment eligibility requirements.
• Pass the Physical Fitness Test and medical requirements.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with six months of driving experience.
• Available for assignment to FBI’s 56 Field Offices.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential federal crimes.
• Exercise judgement, resourcefulness, and versatility in investigations.
• Build liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and international agencies.
• Coordinate searches, seizures, and arrests.
• Carry a firearm and be willing to use force, including deadly force.
• Maintain high physical fitness to perform duties.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university
