Job summary

Corewell Health seeks a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across clinical and operational needs. You will manage the full sourcing lifecycle, including RFPs, contract negotiations, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement.

The role requires healthcare sourcing experience, cost optimization, compliance, and supplier performance management, plus strong analytical skills and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in supply management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.
• 5 years of experience knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base.
• 5 years of relevant experience with continuous improvement methodologies & cost reduction.
• 5 years of relevant experience operating in a highly regulated industry.
• 5 years of relevant experience professional certifications through APICS, ISM, AHRMM, and/or CSCMP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned categories in support of overall business objectives.
• Develop and lead cross functional teams and lead the process to create strategic category plans and consolidation strategy.
• Leads sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses. Leads development of contract strategy. Negotiates, establishes, monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements.
• Develop and benchmarks best practices amongst suppliers. Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics.
• Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers. Utilize market trends to identify and implement appropriate cost controls and business strategy changesManage and develop continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service as well as cost.
• Collaborate across functions, departments, and campuses to develop scorecards and business reviews for key suppliers. Organize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviews. Create and implement enterprise wide metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities
