Job summary

University Health in San Antonio, TX seeks a Child Life Specialist to provide a therapeutic milieu for hospitalized children, addressing their psychosocial and developmental needs within the pediatric unit.

You will lead daily therapeutic interventions and supervise Foster Grandparents, volunteers and students supporting the Child Life Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required.
• Completion of a Child Life internship from an accredited program is required.
• Prefer at least 1 year full-time experience in a child life program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Must be eligible for professional certification by the Child Life Commission within six months of hire date. Prefer fully certified child life specialist.
