Simon & Schuster is currently looking for a Marketing Assistant to join the Simon & Schuster Speakers Bureau team. This person will provide support to the bureau’s Director and Manager and assist with the marketing and promotion of a curated roster of in-house authors. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Bureau, which includes managing a general phone line and mailbox, maintaining a CRM database, and coordinating book mailings
  • Schedule social media posts across the bureau’s social channels
  • Write and edit copy for the bureau’s monthly newsletter to subscribers and support with ongoing pitching efforts
  • Manage the bureau's finances, track invoices, and pay expense reports
  • Manage the bureau’s website (writing content, updating media and publicity, creating graphics, etc.)
  • Liaise with imprint marketing teams on cross-promotional opportunities for bureau authors
  • Help generate exclusive video and social media content for bureau’s platform and promotional efforts
  • Create marketing and promotional materials to be used at library and academic conferences
  • Assist with author onboarding and help coordinate event logistics as necessary

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.
