Singular Genomics is seeking a Spatial Sequencing Associate 2 to join a collaborative team of engineers and scientists. You will run customer tissue samples on the G4X Spatial Sequencer, overseeing antibody activity assays and immunoassay workflows across diverse tissues.
The ideal candidate has experience in molecular biology techniques, immunoassays, and fluorescence readouts; knowledge of NGS instrumentation and spatial biology platforms is a strong plus.
Singular Genomics is inventing at the forefront of genomics, one of the world’s fastest-growing industries. The commercially available G4® Sequencing Platform is a powerful, highly versatile benchtop genomic sequencer designed to produce fast and accurate results. In addition, the company is currently developing the G4X™ Spatial Sequencer, an upgrade to the G4, which will leverage Singular’s proprietary sequencing technology, applying it as an in situ readout for transcriptomics, proteomics and fluorescent H&E in tissue, with spatial context. Singular Genomics’ mission is to empower researchers and clinicians to advance science and medicine. We foster a culture of creativity and technical excellence, both catalysts for innovation. We celebrate diversity, emphasize collaboration and, as we rapidly mature, we are constantly looking at ways we can do better for our people. Our Headquarters are located on the Torrey Pines Mesa, in La Jolla, California at the center of the biotech hub. Our Manufacturing facility is in Sorrento Valley.
As a Spatial Sequencing Associate 2, you will support a collaborative team of engineers and scientists to run customer tissue samples on the G4X Spatial Sequencer. The ideal candidate will have experience in standard molecular biology techniques for handling nucleic acids (e.g., DNA/RNA purification, PCR amplification, isothermal amplification, and library preparation for next generation sequencing) and be familiar with common enzymes that interact with DNA/RNA. Experience with next generation DNA sequencing (instrumentation and analysis) and handling of tissues on flow cells is a plus. Expertise in immunoassays (IHC, IF, ISH), familiarity with microscopy-based readouts (particularly fluorescence) and experience with multiplexed assay workflows are essential. You will provide guidance to assay developers to identify appropriate controls, optimize workflows, and implement enhancements that improve assay robustness and reliability.
