Job summary

The Ang Lab at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an associate researcher to develop spatial omics, imaging and stem cell biology tools to study cellular plasticity in health and disease. Work includes integrating genome editing and screening methods with advanced imaging.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science or related field preferred.
Ideal candidate will have a BSc or MS in bioengineering, biophysics, stem cell biology, chemistry or related field.
0-2 years of research/laboratory experience; experience with tissue culture, molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, conducts routine and standardized experiments using appropriate research techniques relevant to the project.
Analyzes and assists in interpreting laboratory results.
Performs assays to support research studies.
Maintains laboratory environment and assists in inventory, including ordering supplies.
Logs and tests samples; prepares and submits laboratory materials and specimens for shipment.
Assists in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
Performs other related duties.
