Job summary

Air Products in Allentown, PA is seeking a Materials Management Provisioning Analyst to manage spare parts provisioning across North and South America. You will develop BOMs in SAP and determine stocking quantities to support safe, reliable plant operations.

The role collaborates with engineering, operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure sparing philosophies are applied and budgets tracked. On-call rotation applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in materials management, procurement, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of SAP and ability to navigate standard transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment lists, and vendor documentation.
• Inventory management and supply chain knowledge.
• Cross‑functional collaboration and project management.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead provisioning kickoff meetings with stakeholders to define scope and spare parts requirements.
• Review equipment docs and apply sparing philosophies to identify required parts.
• Coordinate material master creation and new material numbers submissions.
• Develop, maintain, and validate spare parts BOMs in SAP for all assets.
• Monitor budgets and project completion status for spare parts.
• Support spare parts estimating with engineering, operations, sourcing, and suppliers.
• Set initial safety stock by evaluating criticality and inventory.
• Identify opportunities to leverage inventory across facilities to cut costs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for weekend/holiday coverage 3-4 times a year.
