Job summary

Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.Job Responsibilities:The Spare Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, storage, and availability of maintenance and production spare parts to support uninterrupted plant operations. This role works closely with Maintenance, Production, and Suppliers to ensure critical spare parts are available when needed while maintaining optimal inventory levels and controlling costs.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESInventory ManagementMaintain accurate inventory records for all maintenance and production spare parts.Monitor stock levels and identify minimum/maximum inventory requirements.Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of spare parts.Procurement & Supplier CoordinationGenerate and submit purchase requisitions for spare parts and maintenance supplies.Coordinate with Management to source parts and maintain adequate stock levels.Track open purchase orders and expedite deliveries as needed.Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and order status.Assist in identifying alternative suppliers for critical components.Maintenance SupportCollaborate with Maintenance personnel to identify critical spare part requirements.Ensure timely issuance of parts for planned and emergency maintenance activities.Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs by ensuring required parts are available.Recommend stocking strategies for critical equipment components.Warehouse & Inventory ControlReceive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts deliveries.Update inventory transactions in the CMMS, ERP, or inventory management system.Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments.Coordinate the disposal of obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory.Continuous ImprovementAnalyze inventory usage trends and recommend improvements.Support cost reduction initiatives through inventory optimization.Develop and maintain spare parts standardization programs.Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOREducation/Certification/Licensure:High school diploma or GED required.Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.Experience:2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, maintenance stores, or spare parts management.Manufacturing or automotive industry experience preferred.Experience working with ERP, MRP, CMMS, or inventory management systems.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong understanding of inventory management practices.Knowledge of maintenance, industrial equipment, and spare parts.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.Experience with SAP, FIXX, Oracle, Plex, Maximo, or similar systems preferred.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
