Role Overview

We’re looking for native or fluent Spanish speakers who are excited to help kids in PreK–9th grade build language skills and confidence. As a Dojo Tutor, you’ll create engaging, personalized 25 or 55-minute lessons delivered live over Zoom. This flexible, remote role is perfect for bilingual university students, future educators, and anyone passionate about making language learning fun and meaningful.

What You’ll Do

Lead 1:1 live online Spanish tutoring sessions for learners in PreK–9th grade

Teach conversational Spanish, grammar, vocabulary, and age-appropriate cultural topics

Personalize each lesson to the student’s learning goals, needs, and interests

Use creative digital tools, games, and activities to bring language learning to life

Collaborate with families to set meaningful goals and track progress

Provide clear, supportive feedback after trial sessions with Dojo Tutor’s assessment tools

Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

Native or fluent proficiency in Spanish (required)

Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, camps, childcare, etc.)

Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for teaching

Reliable internet connection, laptop/desktop computer, and Zoom installed

Ability to commit at least 5 hours per week, with flexibility to set your own schedule

Location: Remote (teach from anywhere with reliable internet)

Session Length: 25 or 55 minute sessions
