Spanish Teacher - Temporary Leave Replacement

Schedule: This is a temporary, part-time position starting around mid-November (before Thanksgiving Break) and ending in early April.

This position does not come with school provided housing.


What You’ll Do

You’ll be a teacher, mentor, and co‑creator of learning. Your role will include:



  • Teaching one section of Spanish III, which meets (during regular 5‑day weeks) on Mondays 8:00‑9:05 a.m., Tuesdays 12:55‑2:00 p.m., and Thursdays 11:15 a.m.-12:20 p.m. (Note: the schedule will shift during 4‑day and 3‑day weeks.)

  • The opportunity to also cover a section of Spanish I may be possible, depending on the candidate’s interest and availability and the School’s needs.

  • Giving meaningful, timely feedback that challenges and inspires

  • Collaborating with department colleagues


What We’re Looking For


  • A degree in Spanish or a related, interdisciplinary field is essential

  • Native or near‑native language skills in Spanish and English

  • Some experience teaching at the secondary level (2+ years preferred)

  • Ability to connect with diverse learners and teach inclusively

  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

  • Comfort with educational tech tools (Google Suite, etc.)

Salary Range: $5,000-$7000. Pay is commensurate with experience.
