Job Summary
We currently have a job opening for a Spanish Teacher for grades PK – 8th. Applicants must have the ability to develop engaging and innovative Spanish language lessons that allow our students to speak, read, and write Spanish proficiently. Additionally, the ideal candidate believes in collaboration with other colleagues and promotes understanding and communication in a warm Christ-centered community.

Job Responsibilities
● Create daily Spanish language lesson plans and learning activities for students based on national, local, and school standards as well as knowledge of developmental behaviors.
● Deliver high-quality, engaging Spanish instruction through conversation, direct teaching, cultural experiences, and interactive practice using a variety of proven methods.
● Differentiate lessons when needed to ensure all students can access Spanish language instruction regardless of disability, instructional level, English proficiency, or level of interest.
● Evaluate student performance in Spanish using various methods such as observation, oral presentations, performance-based tasks, or traditional assessments.
● Communicate with parents regarding student progress in Spanish periodically through phone or electronic means and at parent/teacher conferences.
● Improve skills and knowledge in language instruction by regularly attending workshops, taking courses, and researching new, effective teaching methods.
● Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes through the study of language and culture.

Job Qualifications
Required:
● Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Elementary Education, World Languages Education, or a related field
● Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
