Job summary

Medix in Los Angeles is seeking a Spanish-fluent, licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our Allied division. On-the-job training will be provided; experience welcomed from new grads to seasoned techs.

You will input patient demographics, process prescriptions, verify refills, check insurance, manage inventory, and support daily pharmacist tasks while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Schedule is Monday to Friday 9-5:30 with every other Saturday; background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or state-specific equivalent.
• Proficiency in prescription processing software and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical safety and compliance regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Input patient demographics and process prescriptions using prescription software.
• Screen and verify refills, avoid duplicates, ensure correct dosage/strength entry.
• Check for third-party coverage, billing accuracy, and insurance compliance.
• Handle pharmaceuticals: remove stock, count, pour, label, and package as needed.
• Utilize patient identification during patient will-call.
• Maintain inventory levels and proper stock rotation.
• Support the pharmacist in daily operations and adhere to safety standards.
• Follow regulatory rules to maintain compliance.
