Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license or pharmacy technician trainee license from the Texas State Board and state of residence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to read and transcribe pharmaceutical information.
• Sit for long periods and stand for intermittent periods.

Responsibilities

• Understand confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines for PHI/EPHI.
• Provide telephonic follow up for medication management.
• Coordinate delivery of medications to the patient.
• Assist pharmacist for clinical needs and ensure orders are complete.
• Access and input information through Pharmacy computer systems to maintain records.
• Obtain refill authorizations from prescribers.
• Process third-party insurance claims.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and documentation.
