Job summary

Law Office of David M. Sperling has an immediate opening for a Spanish Speaking Associate Attorney for our Long Island offices in Central Islip, Hempstead, Huntington Station, and Riverhead. The attorney will provide legal support to clients, attend court hearings, and travel to Immigration Court in NYC and Long Island.

Requirements include active bar admission (preferably NY) and notary eligibility. Position offers salary based on experience and Saturday rotation availability.

Qualifications

• Spanish-speaking capability for immigration proceedings.
• Bar admission required (preferably NY).
• Notary certification preferred for attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Providing legal support and guidance to clients.
• Attend Master Calendars, pretrial hearings and hearings to represent client in court.
• Traveling regularly to Immigration Court in New York City and Long Island venues.
• Write and prepare legal documents such as Statements, Affidavits, Motions, Appeals, Pre-trial briefs, PSG briefs, NOIDs, RFEs.
• Be available to work on the Saturday rotation.
• Meet with clients to discuss cases and strategize for ethical solutions.
