Job summary

The Law Office of David M. Sperling on Long Island seeks a Spanish-speaking Associate Attorney to join our immigration practice. The role requires advising clients, drafting petitions, and representing clients in hearings.

Travel to NYC and Long Island immigration venues is expected. Responsibilities include meeting clients, guiding staff, preparing affidavits and motions, and staying current with evolving immigration laws.

Qualifications

• Active Bar admission (prefer NY).
• Willing to travel to Immigration Court in NYC and Long Island.
• Experience advising clients and preparing legal documents (motions, petitions).

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and guidance to clients.
• Attend Master Calendars, pretrial hearings and hearings to represent client in court.
• Provide supervision and guidance to Office Staff.
• Meeting with clients to discuss cases and strategize on ethical solutions.
• Write and prepare legal documents such as motions, petitions, briefs.
