Uwill is seeking a Spanish-speaking Georgia-licensed therapist for students in a part-time, 1099 remote role. You will provide teletherapy via video, phone, or chat to students at partner institutions, managing ongoing caseloads with evidence-based approaches while adhering to HIPAA and professional standards.

Flexible scheduling and the ability to work from a quiet, private location in the US are required. Experience in telehealth and a current Georgia license (LPC/LCSW/LMFT/PsyD) are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years of telehealth therapy experience.
• Independent license to practice in Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or PsyD).
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Professional liability insurance.
• HIPAA compliant and secure location to perform sessions.
• Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or laptop with 10 Mbps speed.

About the Role:

Join the Uwill team to support student mental health. Be part of the solution that provides immediacy, student choice, and eliminates barriers for students to receive the mental health support they need. As a Uwill Counselor you will be offering teletherapy sessions by video, phone, or chat message to students at our partner institutions. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible scheduling.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage an on-going caseload of clients from initial session to graduation from care.

Conduct video, telephone, or chat sessions with students.

Utilize evidence-based practices and SMART goals tailored to student needs.

Practice culturally competent care to meet the needs of a diverse client base including but not limited to: first-time therapy seekers, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation students, veterans, and athletes.

Adhere to the risk assessment and management process of Uwill, including assessing for risk during the initial session with a student and as needed thereafter.

Complete session notes within time frame expectations.

Respond to student messages in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

Master’s degree in a relevant field.

2 years of experience providing therapy in a telehealth setting using a variety of modalities.

An independent license to practice mental health therapy without supervision in Geogia. (Ex. LPC, LCSW, LMFT or PsyD)

Fluent inSpanish

Professional liability insurance.

HIPAA compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions.

Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or laptop running Mac OS 10.13+ or Windows 10+, with a camera, microphone, and internet speed of at least 10 Mbps.

Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal, and listening communication skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment.

Proven ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people of various ages and backgrounds, student developmental needs, nationality, culture, faith/religion, language difference, ability differences, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.

Possess the ability to work with a wide range of individuals presenting mental health concerns across broad levels of acuity including first-time therapy seekers.

Ability to assess risk and refer to Uwill’s Clinical Support team as needed.

Ability to respond with empathy, professionalism, and meet students where they are.

Flexibility - Choose your own schedule with the option to change/update availability as you see fit. Work from any quiet, professional location in the US where you can maintain privacy and HIPAA compliance.

Minimal Admin or Paperwork - Simple note taking (in comparison to insurance based requirements). No scheduling, timekeeping, or billing required.
