City Schools Of Decatur is seeking a Spanish Long-term Substitute Teacher at Beacon Hill Middle School to cover a classroom temporarily. The role supports learning with daily rates of $150 for non-certified and $175 for certified teachers, and requires shifting between lessons and student needs.

Primary duties include planning, delivering instruction, assessing progress, and communicating with families. A valid Georgia teaching certificate and PSC-approved education degree are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from PSC-approved college or university.
• Must have valid in-field teaching certificate.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with International Baccalaureate Programme preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
• Demonstrates command of school subject(s) being taught.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides small group and individualized instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
• Plans and implements developmentally appropriate interactive learning experiences.
• Communicates regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of class newsletters, notes, telephone calls, conferences, emails, websites, etc.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
• Monitors students' progress in learning through a variety of techniques.
• Identifies pupil needs, develops strategies for small groups and/or individual education plans, implements Tier II interventions and makes referrals.
