Qualifications

• Teaching and departmental/school and university service is expected.
• An earned Ph.D. in Spanish or related field is required by time of appointment.
• Teaching experience in a K-12 setting is required for this position (preference given to applicants with at least 3 years of K-12 experience)

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours per academic year, including elementary-level language courses, Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, and upper-level courses in language, literature, and cultural studies.
• Teach day/evening courses face-to-face and online as needed; supervise student teacher candidates.
• Engage in department, college, and university service; maintain an active program of research, scholarly, and/or creative activity.
