Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking Spanish interpreters in the Richmond, VA area. As part of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will facilitate language communication for LEP communities across various settings.

LSA regularly accepts qualified interpreters for a wide range of assignments, emphasizing confidentiality and professional conduct. On-site reporting is required for accepted assignments, with access to transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Spanish.
• The ability to provide a high level of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Access to personal or public transport
