Job summary

rapportintl is seeking qualified in-person interpreters to serve Lincoln, Nebraska communities. This independent contractor role offers flexible, PRN hours with some weekday availability; part-time or lighter workloads depending on languages spoken and client needs.

Applicants must be fully bilingual, have transportation, and be prepared to provide vaccination proof or exemption. Prior interpreting experience or certification is preferred, and HIPAA confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual in English and at least one other language.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• IN PERSON interpretation role; must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to learn and use an online portal; printing/uploading vouchers may be required.
• Must have access to a printer.
• Prior interpreting experience or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screening required.
• PRN/part-time scheduling with some weekday availability (M-F 7AM-5PM).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for local clients in Lincoln, NE.
• Coordinate with clients and scheduling to meet service demand.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.

As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. We have an immediate need for Spanish interpreters in the Lincoln area.

Requirements:

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPPA compliance
• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
