Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools seeks a General Education Teacher to inspire students and drive academic excellence across multiple campuses. You will deliver instruction, monitor progress, and collaborate with staff to support a high-quality learning environment.

You will implement a back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding and enVision Math, assess student growth, and communicate with families and colleagues. Willingness to travel between campuses is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid teacher certification.
• The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction using an accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding (reading & writing) and enVision Math.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds and learning styles.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities promoting growth for primary school.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
• Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards in interactions with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Ensure student growth is continuous and appropriate for age group and program classification.
• Participate in training and staff meetings; meet deadlines and coordinate meetings as needed.
• Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate accomplishments.
• Be active in events outside normal hours; travel between campuses as required.
