Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a General Education Teacher to inspire and guide students toward academic excellence. You will deliver direct instruction using an accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum, including Spalding and enVision Math, while maintaining engaging, standards-aligned lessons.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and valid teaching certification, with occasional travel between campuses.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid teacher certification required.
• The incumbent will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

Responsabilidades

• Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth for primary school success.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
• Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
• Participate in training and staff meetings.
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines and coordinating meetings as needed.
• Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
• Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on campus, and throughout their lives.
• Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.
