Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time enrichment instructor to deliver high-quality enrichment programming aligned with our mission. You will provide a welcoming, inclusive learning environment that supports youth development and engages children and families.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, adapting for diverse learners, supervising participants, maintaining records, and upholding safety and YMCA values. Flexible hours with hourly pay of $15–$20.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or youth programs
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and child abuse prevention trainings are preferred

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers enrichment lessons or activities.
• Creates a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapts instruction to meet diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
• Manages setup and cleanup of program areas.
• Supervises children under site leadership.
• Maintains safe environment indoors and outdoors.
• Tracks attendance and submits required reports.
