This is an OPI and VRI interpreter position.

This is not a Freelance Contractor position.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional interpreting experience
  • Interpreter certification or interpretation training courses
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • High school completion or equivalent
  • Proficient in English and target language, as determined by our Language Checkup assessment
  • Capable of handling Video Calls when required by the company
  • Remote position - must reside in the US

Position Summary

This position performs skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation, with work performed and reviewed under direct supervision following well-defined policies and procedures. Limited independent judgment is exercised, and most problems are referred to a supervisor. This applies to all languages spoken in the interpreter classification.

Essential Functions
  • Provides meaning-for-meaning interpreting for calls across multiple industries such as Healthcare, Financial, Business, Insurance, 911, etc.
  • Follows CyraCom's interpreter protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to interpreter ethics.
  • Attends all required training sessions.
  • Continuously improves vocabulary and subject matter knowledge.
  • Uses standard office equipment and MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrates reliable attendance, follows directions, and communicates effectively in English and the target language.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
