Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field or 18 graduate credits in related field.
• Minimum of one year full-time teaching experience; higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Strong background in computers and technology; excellent organizational and office skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to research and analyze data.
• Willingness to learn; ability to work independently toward goals and deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be credentialed to teach or eligible to be credentialed.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned by designated supervisor.
• Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course objectives.
• Develop and submit course outlines and syllabi to appropriate supervisor.
• Assist in development of measurable course objectives and plans.
• Develop a relationship with students and staff that is professional and encourages communication.
• Maintain accurate course records and complete course forms as required.
• Be available for student consultation.
• Assist in recruitment of students as appropriate.
• Assist in evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
• Represent the college professionally in the community.
• Engage in professional development for credentialing.
