Job summary

The LYCRA Company is seeking a Spandex Operations Manager for the Waynesboro, VA site. You will lead 24/7/365 operations across Essential Materials, Polymer, Spinning and Beaming, managing ~9 salaried and ~120 wage staff with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and productivity.

Primary schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00–4:30 with occasional off‑hour interactions. You will apply manufacturing best practices (5S, lean, kaizen) and drive consistency through product-by-standard processes to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of manufacturing management experience.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience driving improvements in a manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing team across Essential Materials, Polymer, Spinning and Beaming.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity and cost effectiveness site-wide.
• Set performance expectations and accountability, coach and develop teams.
• Communicate progress and issues with site operations leadership and commercial teams.
• Apply 5S, lean and kaizen to standardize processes and improve outputs.
