Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (Avionics / RF Electronics) to own manufacturing readiness and provide production support for RF avionics hardware used in spaceflight projects.

The role requires strong RF fundamentals and hands-on experience with RF test equipment, PCBA manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration with design and test teams. Leveling is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing engineering or RF hardware.
• Experience with RF electronics manufacturing and testing.
• Ability to diagnose failures across hardware, test setup, and software.
• Knowledge of IPC and aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for avionics RF hardware.
• Analyze data to reduce defects and improve yield.
• Support failure analysis during builds.
• Collaborate with design and test teams for DFM/ DFA feedback.
• Support production testing including functional and environmental tests.
• Provide day-to-day production floor support and training.
